Can I cancel my registration?

For the 2026 IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference, written cancellations sent to events@cement.org by April 13, 2026, are eligible for a full refund minus a $150 processing fee. No refunds are available after this date

Who attends the IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference?

The Cement Conference attracts a diverse, global audience from across the cement industry, including:

  • Cement producers and plant leadership
  • Engineers, operators, and technical specialists
  • Researchers and academics
  • Equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and service companies
  • Industry partners, consultants, and students

Attendees range from early-career professionals to senior executives, creating a unique environment for learning, discussion, and collaboration across roles and experience levels.
 

Do I need to be a member of ACA or IEEE-IAS to attend?

No. Attendance at the IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference is open to both members and nonmembers. Members of either organization are eligible for discounted attendee registration rates.

In addition, ACA members may attend ACA committee meetings held in conjunction with the conference. These committee meetings are closed to non-ACA members.
 

Are students welcome to attend?

Yes. Students are welcome and encouraged to attend the Cement Conference. Student registration options are available, and students may participate in technical sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities.

Is the conference international?

Yes. The Cement Conference attracts attendees from the United States and around the world, offering a global perspective on cement manufacturing challenges, technologies, and solutions.  Typically, about 20% of those who attend are from outside the US and include both cement companies and suppliers.

What types of sessions are offered?

The conference features a mix of peer-reviewed technical papers, expert speakers, panel discussions, interactive sessions, training, and networking opportunities. In addition to technical content, the program includes broader industry conversations led by industry leaders and subject-matter experts.

Is there a cement plant tour?

Yes. The 2026 program includes a cement plant tour of Cemex’s Miami plant and quarry. There will be two tours at staggered times.  Participation requires advance registration and space is limited.

What are Cement Mixers?

Cement Mixers are interactive, discussion-based sessions designed to encourage conversation and idea-sharing across disciplines. Formerly known as the Roundtables held early in the morning, Cement Mixers are now held in the afternoon to maximize engagement and participation.

What is the Poster Pavillion?

The Poster Pavillion (in the Exhibit Hall) provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, and emerging professionals to share innovative ideas, research, and case studies that may not fit a traditional technical paper format. Poster authors will be available during designated times to discuss their work and answer questions.

Is all conference content included with registration?

Most conference content is included with standard registration. Process training modules, Cement Mixers, and the cement plant tour require an additional fee. Details are provided during registration.

Who exhibits at the conference?

Exhibitors include companies that support cement manufacturing operations, such as:

  • Equipment and machinery manufacturers
  • Technology and automation providers
  • Engineering, environmental, and consulting firms
  • Materials, services, and solution providers
     

When is the exhibit hall open?

For 2026, exhibit hall hours have been expanded. The exhibit hall will be open throughout Monday morning and into the early afternoon, in addition to scheduled exhibit times later in the week.  Check the schedule for details.

Who has access to the exhibit hall?

  • Full-day exhibit hall access (7:00 AM–9:00 PM) is exclusive to Exhibitor Badges.
  • Attendee Badges may access the exhibit hall during the Monday morning opening, lunches (typically 12:00–2:00 PM) and during scheduled receptions.
  • Spouse/Partner Badges may access the exhibit hall during receptions only (Sunday–Tuesday)

Could you share the list of attendees and their email addresses with me?

For privacy reasons, we do not share registrant email addresses. A list of registered attendees will be shared with attendees approximately six weeks prior to the conference via email and will also be available in the conference mobile app once it is live.

What is the dress code?

Business casual attire is appropriate for most conference sessions. Additional guidance will be provided for the cement plant tour and other specific activities.

How can I get involved or volunteer?

The conference is shaped by industry volunteers through the Cement Industry Committee (CIC) and its subcommittees, in partnership with the American Cement Association and the IEEE Industry Applications Society. Opportunities to contribute vary each year. Those interested in getting involved are encouraged to email conference@cement.org for more information.

Additional Information

Spouse/Partner Registration: All spouses/partners must be non-industry attendees. Any industry professional attending the conference must pay the delegate registration fee. Please note: Spouse/Partner tours are strictly for a spouse/partner of a registered attendee, and no children are allowed on a tour. The spouse/partner hospitality suite and program activities are reserved for those spouses/partners who have paid full spouse/partner registration rates. ID’s may be checked.

  • Pricing: Early bird pricing ends March 16, 2026. After, registration fees will increase. See prices listed above.
  • Badge Reprints: A $50 fee will be required for all badge reprints onsite, and the request must be accompanied by a valid photo ID.
  • Registration Payment Methods: We accept credit card and ACH (wire transfer) payments for conference registration. Personal or company checks will not be accepted prior to the conference or onsite.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: As alcoholic beverages are served during the conference’s exhibit hours, all attendees must be 21 years or older to register for and attend the conference.

Meeting Cancellation Policy: Meeting cancellations must be sent in writing to ACA at events@cement.org. Written requests for meeting cancellation refunds received by April 13, 2026, (10 business days prior to the meeting) are entitled to a full refund, minus a processing fee of $150.00 No meeting cancellation refunds will be granted after April 13,2026. Requests for registration substitutions must be made prior to April 13, 2026. 

Meeting Privacy Policy: By registering for this conference, you consent to sharing your registration data with conference management. Event sessions may be recorded and/or photographed. Attending also implies consent to potential capture of your image or voice.
