Speaker Bio
My first exposure to cement was as an intern at the Ash Grove Cement plant in Midlothian, TX. I fell in love with the hidden engineer's playground that is the cement industry. After graduating from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2022, I took a position in Midlothian as a Cement Development Engineer (CDE). As a CDE I got to learn about the different aspects that are required to run a cement plant. I quickly became drawn to process engineering as it is at the forefront of solving issues that directly relate to producing a quality product for customers.
After a year and a half, I took an opportunity that came up for a position as a process engineer in Ash Grove’s Sumterville, FL plant in January 2024. I’ve been enjoying learning, growing, solving problems, and making cement at Sumterville with a world-class team and look forward to continuing to do so.
